Eloquent queries
Eager loading, explicit select lists, scopes, aggregates, cursor pagination, relationship design, and query plan review.
Performance cleanup for Laravel applications slowed by N+1 queries, heavy Filament tables, missing indexes, expensive aggregates, queue bottlenecks, and oversized payloads.
Request performance triageEager loading, explicit select lists, scopes, aggregates, cursor pagination, relationship design, and query plan review.
Table loading, filters, widgets, cached stats, relation managers, action performance, and export behavior.
Queue throughput, failed jobs, Redis cache, scheduler reliability, deployment checks, and monitoring signals.
Performance work starts with evidence from slow queries, response timings, queue latency, logs, and the pages users actually rely on. Guessing at caches or indexes can hide symptoms while leaving the expensive code path in place.
I usually separate quick wins from structural changes: eager loading and indexes first, then payload shape, cached aggregates, queue throughput, pagination strategy, and dashboard design. The result is a smaller set of changes that can be reviewed, measured, and kept from regressing.
